§ 6.04. Official bonds.

  • (a)

    Official bonds. The city commission shall fix the bond of any officer, clerk or employee, and shall determine the amount thereof, which bond shall be procured from a regular accredited surety company authorized to do business under the laws of Florida, the premiums on such bonds to be paid by the city. All such bonds shall be filed in the office of the city clerk.

    (b)

    Audit. Upon the death, resignation, removal or expiration of the term of any officer, the city treasurer shall audit his accounts, and if such officer shall be found to be indebted to the municipality, the city treasurer shall at once give notice thereof through the city manager to the city commission, and to the city attorney, and the latter shall forthwith proceed to collect the sum of such indebtedness.
